Seikret of Mammon

"Seikret of Mammon" is a game that I'm working on with help from some others (although the staff is in a near constant state of flux.) It's an RPG using graphics modified from Seiken Densetsu 3- the sequel to 'Secret of Mana' for the SNES that was never officially translated. Obvioulsy Seikret of Mammon's name is based on "Seiken Densetsu" and "Secret of Mana"- as a sort of homage to the series. Anyway, it's a one player menu based RPG wich one playable character.

The premise is this; in a world steeped in myth, magic and legend, there is a school of magic- a particular kind of magic- "Matriarchy". Matriarchy operates on a simple principle: take a 'divine being' (i.e. a creature of extremely high magical power, alhtough not sentient), use magic to impregnate (although technically, they aren't pregnant in the normal sense, since their DNA does not combine with that of the divine creature) the "Matriarch" with it, let the resultant "childé" grow- then hault the growth and birth with magic. Their unborn childé acts as a battery then- they use its power for their magic. So this school teaches matriarchy, which as you can imagine means it's full of pregnant girls and teachers ^_^.

Obviously there's much more to the game than that, but I don't want to reveal the plot all right now- I'd rather leave some mystery to the game itself.

Eridani

Meet the main character- "Eridani". Here's her sprite- remodelled curtiousy of Thailog:

She may well be familiar to those who played Seiken Densetsu 3, since her sprite was originally Angela's.

Elements

Eridani's childé can be one of three elements, the traditional three that Square use- Fire, Ice, and Bolt/Lightning. Later on in the game she can also conceive two more childé of different elements, and there are many different resultant combinations.
